Which of the following is a pair of co-primes?

i. (32,62)
ii. (18,25)

Given :

The given pair of numbers are (i) (32, 62) and  (ii)  (18, 25)

To find :

We have to find the pair of co-primes among the given pair of numbers.

Solution :

Co-prime :

A pair of numbers which should have only one as the common factor.

(i) (32, 62)

Factors of $32 = 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32$.

Factors of $62 = 1, 2, 31$.

The common factors of 32, 62 are 1, 2.

Therefore, (32, 62) is not a pair of coprime.

(ii) (18 , 25)

Factors of $18 = 1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 18$.

Factors of $25 = 1, 5, 25$.

The common factor of 18, 25 is 1.

Therefore, (18, 25) is a pair of coprime.
