Which number is bigger $-2$ or $+5$?

Given : 

The given numbers are $-2$ and $+5$

We have to find the bigger number among  the given numbers.

Solution :

Negative numbers are to the left of 0 and positive numbers are to the right of 0.

Positive numbers are greater than negative numbers and 0.

Therefore,

$+5$ is greater than $-2$.
