Which mosquitoes bite? Female or Male?

It is the female mosquito that bites and sucks blood. Meanwhile, male mosquitos feed on flower nectar for their food. She requires blood to produce eggs. Her mouthparts are so constructed that they pierce the skin,  and suck the blood out through a syringe-like proboscis.

So it is the female mosquitos that suck blood and act as vectors or carriers of diseases like malaria, dengue etc...
