Which is the process through which energy is produced by Mitochondria?


Mitochondria produce energy through the process of oxidative phosphorylation or in simple term cellular respiration. 

It takes food molecules in the form of carbohydrates and combines them with oxygen available within the cell to produce the ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate), in which the energy is stored in the form of chemical bonds.
