Which plants are heterotrophs?


Heterotrophic plants are those types of plants, that are unable to produce their own food, so they need to obtain their nutrition from outside sources.


Types and name of some heterotrophic plants are given below:-


1. Saprophytic plants- Mushroom, Sarcodes sanguinea (snow plant), etc.


2. Parasitic plants- Cuscuta or dodder (Swarnalata), Rafflesia, Mistletoe, Red Bartsia, etc.


3. Insectivorous or Carnovoroues plants- Pitcher Plant, Venus flytrap, Sundew, etc.
