Which are the crops grown in red soil?


Red soil contains a mixture of clay and sand and is not fertile. However, the soil can be fertile by adding manures and fertilizers.

It is Red in colour because it contains a high amount of oxides of Iron in it.

The crops that can be grown on Red soil are groundnuts, pulses, millet, red gram, Bengal gram, cotton and tobacco.
