When we inhale 21% of oxygen is breathed and when we exhale it 16.4% comes out. Why?
The amount of air that we inhale contains 21% of oxygen and 0.04% of carbon dioxide, while the air we breathe out contains 16.4% of oxygen and 4.4% of carbon dioxide.
It happens because inhaled Oxygen (O2) "consumed" in the processes of cellular respiration, releases energy, and gives out carbon dioxide (CO2), as a byproduct.
