What will happen if a saturated solution is : (i) heated, and (ii) cooled ?

(i) If a saturated solution is heated to a higher temperature, it becomes unsaturated. Hence, the saturation point of a solution increases with the increase in temperature as there is an increase in solubility of the solute.

(ii) If a saturated solution is cooled to a lower temperature, some of its dissolved solutes get separated in the form of solid crystals by the process of crystallization.
