What precautions can you take in your school to reduce the incidence of infectious diseases?
The incidence of infectious diseases can be reduced in the school by taking the following precautions:
(i) Wash the hands frequently either with soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
(ii) Drink clean and hygienic water.
(iii) Prevention of water accumulation in the surroundings as it can lead to water-borne diseases.
(iv) Maintain neat and clean toilets.
(v) Avoid the consumption of unhygienic, uncovered, and stale eatables.
(vi) Maintain personal hygiene by brushing the teeth, taking bath daily, cutting nails and hairs, and consuming a balanced diet.
