What is the role of eardrum? Why it is so important for us?

The eardrum is a thin flap of skin that stretched like a drum and vibrates upon hitting it.

Sound waves enter the outer ear, travel across the ear canal or a narrow passageway and reach the eardrum.

These vibrations affect the tiny bones of the middle ear and send a vibration to three tiny bones of the middle ear and to the inner ear.
