What is the ratio of interior and exterior angle of a regular octagon

Given: An octagon.

To do: To find the ratio of interior angle and exterior angle of an octagon.

Solution:

Each exterior angle of a regular octagon$=\frac{360}{8}=45^o$

Each interior angle of a regular octagon $=( 180^o-45^o)=135^o$

$\therefore$ Ratio of interior angle and exterior angle of a octagon$=\frac{135^o}{45^o}=\frac{3}{1}=3:1$
