Extra information with image is for reference only

A corkscrew is a device made up of a spiral metal rod and a handle, used for pulling corks from bottles.

In Maxwell's corkscrew rule, when a corkscrew is driven in the direction of the current then the direction in which the handle is rotated, is the direction of the magnetic field.

Conclusion: when the electric current flows vertically upwards, then the direction of the magnetic field produced will be Anti-clock-wise, and when the direction of the current is downwards then the magnetic field will be clockwise.
