What is the meaning of the water cycle?

The water cycle is the cyclic movement of water from the atmosphere to the earth and back to the atmosphere through various processes.

1. Evaporation of water occurs through the surfaces of lakes, Rivers and Seas in the form of Water Vapour. Evaporation is the process by which water changes from a liquid to a gas or vapour. Evaporation is the primary pathway that water moves from the liquid state back into the water cycle as atmospheric water vapour.

2. Condensation of these water vapour forms clouds.

3. When the clouds get heavy, they pour down as rain (precipitation).

This constant, never-ending circulation of water in nature is known as the water cycle.
