What is the major difference between a solution and an ordinary mixture ?


A mixture is a substance that consists of two or more elements or compounds in any proportion, which might be distinct or indistinct whereas a solution is an example of a homogenous mixture, i.e., substances in the solution are completely mixed and are indistinguishable.
