What is the latent heat of fusion?

The amount of heat gained by a solid to convert it into a liquid without any further increase in the temperature is called latent heat of fusion. If 'm' kg of solid converts to a fluid at a constant temperature, the heat consumed by the substance or the latent heat of fusion formula is given as:

                                                 $Q = m \times L$

Where, L =latent of fusion,

Q = Heat gained.
