What is the effect of trailing zeros on the decimal numbers?

Effect of trailing zeros:

In mathematics, trailing zeros are a sequence of 0 in the decimal representation of a number, after which no other digits follow. Trailing zeros to the right of a decimal point, as in 12.3400, does not affect the value of a number and may be omitted if all that is of interest is its numerical value.

Therefore,

0.2 can be written as 0.20 or 0.200 etc but we cannot write it as 0.02 or 0.002.
