What is the difference between uniform linear motion and uniform circular motion ? Explain with examples.
Difference between uniform linear motion and uniform circular motion:
Uniform linear motion:
When an object is moving on a straight linear path with a fixed speed and direction , its known as uniform linear motion.
For example:
A bus moving on a straight linear road.
Uniform circular motion:
When an object is moving around a circular path with a constant speed, it is known as uniform circular motion. In uniform circular motion the direction of the motion always changes, therefore it is always accelerated.
For example:
The earth moving around the sun.
