What is the difference between static friction force and potential energy ?

force is any pull or push or action that tends to alter the state of rest or uniform motion of a body. This is derived essentially from Newton's First Law of motion. The SI unit of Force is Newton

Static friction

This friction occurs when two or more solid objects rest on the ground, and not moving relative to each other.

This friction prevents an object from sliding down a sloped surface.

Energy is a property of a system that is a measure of the capacity to do work. for example Potential energy, kinetic energy, Mechanical energy, chemical energy, and so on. The SI unit of work is Joules or calories

Energy can neither be created nor destroyed. It can only be transformed from one form to another.
