What is the difference between sector and segment of a circle?
Solution:
- Arc AB made an angle with the center of circle O. The area between the arc AB and radii OA, OB is the Sector. In the above figure, area of triangle OAB $+$ blue colored area = Area of sector.
- The area between Chord AB and the arc AB is the segment. In the above figure, the blue colored area is the segment.
