What is the difference between microorganisms and microbes?

A microorganism or microbe is the same. The difference is only that microorganism is used as 'plural' and microbe is used as a 'singular'.
A microorganism or microbe is an organism that is microscopic, which means too small to see with the naked eye. These may exist in its single-celled form or in a colony of cells.
These are unicellular organisms.
Bacteria, viruses, fungi, protozoa, and algae are some examples of microorganisms.
The study of microorganisms is known as microbiology.
