What is the difference between Mango and Wild Mango?
Mango is a drupe (a fleshy fruit with a thin outer skin and a central stone enclosing a single seed), also called stone fruit, like a plum, cherry, or almond.
It is popularly known as the “King of Fruits”.
An African tree (“Irvingia gabonensis”) is a species of African trees that are sometimes commonly known as “Wild Mango”, African mango, bush mango, or Ambra (in India).
They bear an edible yellow fruit that somewhat resembles the mango with its delightfully sour flavour, and is used as a frequent ingredient in chutneys, stews, pickles, and jams, when ripe.
