To find:  The cost of telling.

Solution:

Length = 500 m

Breadth = 200 m

Area = lenght $\times$ breadth

          = 500$\times$ 200

          = 100000 sq m

Rate of land = Rs 8/ hundred sq m;

So cost of land = $\frac{8}{100} \times 100000$

Therefore, the cost of telling is = Rs 8000
