What is the ;closure property?

According to the closure property, the result of the addition of two rational numbers is also a rational number.

For example 1/2, 3/2 are rational number. 1/2 + 3/2 = 4/2 is also a rational number.

Similarly, operations like subtraction, multiplication and division between rational numbers give a rational number as a result

example: 5/9 x 2/9  =  10/81 is a rational number.
