What is symbiotic relationship? Explain with the help of an example
Symbiotic relationship with an example
There are certain organisms that live together and provide food and shelter to each other. This kind of nutrition is known as a symbiotic relationship.
Symbiosis is a close relationship between two species in which at least one species benefits. For the other species, the relationship may be positive, negative, or neutral. There are three basic types of symbiosis: mutualism, commensalism, and parasitism.
One example of a mutualistic symbiotic relationship is that of the oxpecker, a type of bird and the rhinoceros or zebra. Oxpeckers land on rhinos or zebras and eat ticks and other parasites that live on their skin.
