What is ORS?

ORS stands for Oral Rehydration Solution.

ORS is used to treat dehydration caused due to severe diarrhoea, vomiting and other reasons. ORS is given as the replacement of lost fluids.

Usually, ORS contain glucose, sodium, base, and potassium.
