What is meant by synthetic fiber ?

Synthetic fibres- synthetic fibres are man-made fibres designed to make fabrics. Eg. nylon and rayon

Rayon was the first man-made fibre developed in the late 19th century as a substitute for silk.

It is the first artificial textile material composed of regenerated and purified cellulose derived from plant sources.

The first sample of nylon was produced on February 28, 1935, at DuPont's research facility at the DuPont Experimental Station. It had all the desired properties of elasticity and strength.
