What is heat? Explain with an example.

Heat is a form of energy. It flows from a body at a higher temperature to a body at a lower temperature. Heat is measured in calories and joules. Temperature gives the degree of hotness or coldness of a body.  Temperature is measured in Centigrade or Celsius or Fahrenheit scales. The SI unit of temperature is Kelvin.

Heat can be converted to and fro from other forms of energy.
