What is HCl?
Hydrochloric acid is formed by the combination of hydrogen chloride gas with water. (Both Hydrochloric Acid and hydrogen chloride gas has the same formula HCl.) When hydrogen chloride gas dissolves in water to produce hydrochloric acid, the hydrogen chloride molecule gives a proton (a hydrogen ion) to a water molecule.
It is a strong acid. It dissociates completely to give H+ ions and Cl_ions.
Its chemical formula is HCL.
It is used in manufacturing Aquaragia which contain 3 parts of Hydrochloric Acid (HCL) and one part of Nitric Acid. It is also used to dissolve noble metal like Gold and platinum.
