What is Force and Pressure?
Force is the push or pull on an object with mass that causes it to change its velocity. Force is an external agent capable of changing the state of rest or motion of a body with mass.
Force is a vector quantity. It has a magnitude as well as direction.
The SI unit of Force is called Newton.
$1 \ Newton = 1\ Kg \ m/s^2$
A force of 1 newton is a force that is capable of accelerating a body of mass $1 \ Kg$ through an acceleration of $1\ m/s^2.$
Pressure: The pressure is defined as force per unit area. Mathematically, the pressure is nothing but force divided by area.
Here the force is in the the numerator and the area is in the denominator
Pressure = Force/Area
For example, the pressure applied when a force of 20N applied to an area of 5 square meters is
20 / 5 = 4 pascal.
So if a force and area are given, try to convert them into their SI units and find the pressure.
