What is Fixed Joint?



Fixed joints or Immovable joints: These are those types of joints where no movement of bones is possible. 

These joints are connected by fibrous tissue, consisting mainly of collagen.


Examples of fixed or immovable joints are as follow:

1. The joint between the tooth and the jaw.

2. The Joints between the vertebrae.

3. The joint between tibia and fibula.

4. The joint between radius and ulna.
