What is Filament made of?
A filament is a thin wire with two bigger wires holding it up. Whenever electricity flows through the filament, it glows. Generally, filaments have high resistance, therefore, when electricity passes through them, they heat up and start glowing, converting electrical energy to heat energy.
Filaments in incandescent bulbs are made up of tungsten.
