What is earthing?

Electrical devices sometimes accumulate electric charge. this can give an electric shock when touched.

So they connect the devices to the ground with the help of a conducting wire. Due to this, the electric charge on the devices gets removed and is transferred into the earth.

This process of connecting electrical devices to the earth is called earthing or grounding.
