What is difference between LED bulbs and ancient tube lights which were hot ?
LED | Conventional Tubelight |
LED Battens have been around for some time but they haven’t gained the widespread adoption they should have, at least not yet | Conventional tube lights have been around for what seems like “forever” providing affordable lighting for residential as well as commercial area |
LED consumes very little energy. | The consumption of energy by conventional tube lights are way higher than LEDs |
Consumption of less energy leads to less cost. | Higher electricity costs. More than twice that of an LED |
LED, on the other hand, produce very less heat and are highly unlikely to burn out or pose a fire hazard | Conventional tube lights tend to slowly lose their brightness over time and even end up burning some of its parts. Because tube lights generate nearly thrice the heat of an LED |
Whereas LEDs have been tested to have a lifespan of well over 20,000 hours | Conventional tube lights and CFLs last for up to 6000-8000 hours |
LED Battens maintain their brightness levels throughout their lifespan | The quality of light from conventional tube lights and CFLs have been found to degrade over time |
