What is difference between friction and force?


Friction is a type of Force.

Friction:

Friction is the resistance to motion of one object moving relative to another.  For example, when you try to push a book along the floor, friction makes this difficult.

Force:

Force is essentially a push, or a pull action, that can lead to certain outcomes.

It can change the state and direction of the motion of an object.

It also can deform the shape and size of the object.
