What is chromatid and nucleosome?

Chromatids: The chromosome has two symmetrical structures which are called as chromatids. Each chromatid contains a single DNA molecule. At the anaphase of mitotic cell division, sister chromatids separate and migrate to opposite poles.

Nucleosomes: The nucleosomes are the basic unit of chromatin with a diameter of 10 nm. The DNA gets wound around histone proteins to form a nucleosome. Nucleosomes consist of 146 pair of DNA coiled around eight histone molecules.
