What is Ball Bearing?
Ball bearings are small metal balls placed between the moving parts of a machine to make the parts move smoothly.
For example, they are used in bicycles to make the wheels move more smoothly
.
Ball bearings use balls to separate two “races” or bearing rings, to reduce surface contact and friction across moving planes
They serve three main functions while it facilitates motion:
- They carry loads
- They reduce friction
- They support moving machine parts.
