What is noise pollution? Name the unit to measure noise pollution(level).

Noise pollution means increment in the loudness of sound, which refers to any unpleasant, damaging or irritating noise that has the potential to harm people, wildlife or the environment.

The decibel (dB) is the main unit used to measure the intensity of sound or loudness of sounds.

On the scale of sound ranging from 10 to 145 decibels, 80 dB is the level at which sound becomes physically painful, and commonly known as noise.
