What is Archaebacteria? Does it cause any disease?

Archaebacteria are the most primitive organisms, known to the living organisms on earth. These are single-celled organisms, belong to the Kingdom Monera, and resemble bacteria when observed from the microscope.

Archaebacteria possess characteristics features for surviving under harsh conditions such as the bottom of the sea, volcanic vents, and glaciers. These are also termed extremophiles.

Few organisms of the Archaebacteria group are known to act as pathogen. Scientists are further conducting research to study archaebacteria.
