What is angle bisector?


Angle bisector:

An angle bisector is a line that bisects an angle into two equal parts.

Angle bisectors in a triangle:

  • Angle bisectors in a triangle are lines that bisect the three angles in a triangle in two equal parts respectively. 
  • The three angle bisectors of a triangle usually intersect in a point called INCENTER.
  • Angle bisector theorem states that an angle bisector of a triangle divides the opposite side into two segments that are proportional to the other two sides of the triangle.
  • In the above figure,  AD is the angle bisector of angle CAB.
