What is an Isosceles triangle?
Isosceles Triangle:
An Isosceles triangle is a triangle that has two sides of equal length. The two equal sides are called the legs and the third side is called the base of the triangle. The name ‘isosceles’ derives from the Greek word Iso (same) and Skelos (leg). In the figure given below, the two equal sides have length ‘b’ and the remaining side has length ‘a’. It is the property of the isosceles triangle that equal sides of the triangle will have equal angles. So, an isosceles triangle, therefore, has both two equal sides and two equal angles.
