What is an empty set?
Empty Set:
- There are some sets that do not contain any element at all.
- It is represented by the symbol { } or Ø.
- So, a set with no elements is called a null set or empty set.
For example,
The set of circles with four sides.
A circle has no sides. Therefore, a set of circles with four sides is an empty set.
