What is an Ecosystem?
An ecosystem is termed as an interaction between the biotic and abiotic components present in a particular environment.
The abiotic components include sunlight, water, soil, air, etc., while the biotic components include various plants and animals inhabiting an area, e.g., lake, forest, grassland, lions, deer, etc.
Examples of the ecosystem are the Forest ecosystem, Pond ecosystem, Desert ecosystem, etc.
Forest ecosystem comprises all the wild animals, birds, reptiles, insects, and plants growing in the forest along with their physical environments such as sunlight, water flowing through the forest, and soil and air of the forest.
