What is acceleration and how to find it?

Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity. An object is changing acceleration if it is changing its velocity. Mathematically, Acceleration is given by

                                                                        $a\ =\ \frac{v-u}{t}$

Where, a = acceleration,

v = final velocity,

u =initial velocity

t = time period
