What is a natural number?

Natural Numbers:

The most basic and the first numbers that were used by man were the Counting Numbers. Early man used to count things by using his fingers (also known as digits).

The digits 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,7, 8, 9 and so on were used to count. These counting numbers form the set of Natural numbers.

Natural numbers = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5.....}
