What is a Linear Equation in one variable?

An equation expressed in the form of $ax+b=0$, while $a$ and $b$ are two integers and $x$ is a variable is known as a Linear Equation in one Variable and it has one solution only.

For example- $2x+4=10$ is a Linear Equation in one Variable and it has one solution $x=3$.
