What is a Real Number?

Real numbers consists of:

Whole Numbers (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, ……...)
Rational Numbers (3/4, 0.125, 0.333..., 1.1, etc.)
Irrational Numbers (π, √2, etc.)

Real Numbers can be positive, negative or zero.
