What is a coordinate graph?
Co-ordinate graph:
Co-ordinate graph is used to locate points. Each point can be identified by a number on the $x$-axis called an $x$-coordinate, and a number on the $y$-axis called a $y$-coordinate.
The $x$-coordinate tells you how many steps you have to take to the right on the $x$-axis. And the y-coordinate tells you have many steps to move up on the $y$-axis.
The location of (2,5) is shown on the graph below. The $x$-coordinate is 2. The $y$-coordinate is 3. To locate (2,3), move 2 units to the right on the $x$-axis and 3 units up on the $y$-axis.
