What happens when : a solution of copper sulphate is taken in a beaker and iron nails are put in it?
Dear Hard,
When Iron nails are placed in copper sulphate solution, the blue colour of Copper Sulphate solution changes to green. This is due to the displacement of copper by iron as copper gets deposited on top of iron nails.
The equation is given as
Fe + CuSO4 (blue) --> FeSO4 (green) + Cu
