What happens when an ovary becomes Fruit?

After pollination and fertilization ovules develops into seeds and ovary develops into the fruit. The developing embryo within the ovary produces special chemical substances. These substances stimulate the young ovary and signal the start of the formation of the fruit.

The fruit may contain one or more seeds. The ovary increases in size during the ripening or maturing stage. The fruit formed from the ovary has two scars such as style scar and stalk scar.
