What happens to the potential energy of a body when its height is doubled?
We know the formula for the potential energy of a body, it is :
$P=mgh$
Here, $P\rightarrow$mass of the body
$g\rightarrow$gravitattional acceleration
$h\rightarrow$ height of the body
if we double the height of the body then its potential energy
$P'=mg(2h)$
Or $P=2mgh$
Or $P'=2P$
Therefore, the potential energy of the body gets doubled when its height is doubled.
